Several incidents in the area are causing traffic issues on the roads this morning.

Old Wrexham Road is described as “Partially blocked and heavy traffic due to accident, a car that has left the road involved and recovery work on the roundabout.”

Ally said of that incident: “Accident just near roundabout as you come off Llay exit on the A483 and head down Rossett way. Car in ditch and police attending.”

Jo described the ‘bump’ as: “1 car in field. 1 car stationery on main road by roundabout.”

Brian told us of another incident this morning saying: “Llay roads closed off from Pennyfford to Llay police cars an blue lights everywere”

A spokesperson for North Wales Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 7.52am to a one-vehicle road traffic accident in the Rossett area of Wrexham.

“We sent a paramedic in a rapid response car to the scene, where a woman with minor injuries was given a precautionary check-up.”

Large numbers of sirens and emergency service activity has been heard to the south of Chester, with a yellow helicopter also on the scene believed to be an air ambulance. Ali has said “Police have closed off the road leading to Lache Lane, if coming from Dodleston/Kinnerton way and there are northbound queues on the A483.”

Three vehicles were involved in the incident on Lache Lane, which has closed the road.

Further incidents have occurred on the nearest motorways with two incidents on the M53.
