Appeal For Information Following A5104 Collision

Police are appealing for information following a fatal road traffic collision in Flintshire yesterday.

The incident happened on the A5104 between Pontblyddyn and Penyffordd at around 12.50pm and involved seven vehicles including a Vauxhall Meriva and three motorcycles travelling in the direction of Pontblyddyn and three motorcycles travelling in the direction of Penyffordd.

Two motorcyclists, who have yet to be formally identified, died at the scene. Four motorcyclists and one car driver was taken to hospital for treatment to non- life threatening injuries.

Sergeant Gwyndaf Jones, of the roads Policing Unit said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this collision or who may have seen any of the vehicles involved prior to the collision to contact me on 101.”
