How much time do they think will be saved , if any, by this £132,000 expenditure?

I notice there is £132,000 allocated next year by Taith for something called ” the Grove Road bus gate”. Can anyone shed some light on what that actually means?

All parents need to beware of the “Through School” option that would put children from three to sixteen on one site. How would that stop the Secondary Schools from failing?

I agree children should be able to read before they leave primary school. Parents also have a huge part to play in helping their children become fluent readers, by reading aloud to them and engaging them in incidental reading of instructions ,road signs and the like. It is when a child gets to secondary school age without being a fluent reader that they face real problems and the gap in achievement opens up and they often fall behind.

The People’s Market multi storey car park shuts in the evening, perhaps the signs can’t cope with ” closed” or “shut” !

9 minutes for a reply from WCBC! I have been waiting almost 9 weeks for a reply to my question, ” Is it acceptable to wrap food in newspaper an place it in the green bin?”

I think these signs are designed for much larger car parks, again today they read full for St. George’s Crescent when spaces were obvious. Also a numerical indication of the spaces available would be much easier to read than the bilingual signage of ” spaces”.

A high occupancy rate is what the Council use to trigger an increase in charges, in theory the converse also applies, a low occupancy rate would trigger a reduction. Publishing the data would give transparency to the decision.

In most cities they indicate the number of spaces available, maybe if the car park is nearly empty in the evening it just says ” spaces”.

Looks like the project was agreed back in 2010/11 and funding of £250,000 2013/14 and a further £250,000 2014/15. Wonder if we will see extra signs next year or perhaps the second tranche will be for the electronic element.
