The tweeter is a whistle blower and in all walks of life they must be protected so that the truth comes out

Certainly not a whistle blower, just someone who unlawfully used their position to reflect his or her political objective.

The problem with the left is that they obviously think they know better, and twist everything to suit their own agenda. They usually know better after the event as we all do, Ant McPartlin was a drink driver who deserved to be convicted of the offence he committed, whatever that has to do with anything! The press and their trial by media attitude will never learn, Caroline Flack a prime example but “hey” we deal with bigger issues here LOL. Some exaggerate everything to make them intelligent but fail to realise that Joe average just wants things back to normal as soon as possible. Cummings is hated by some who have no idea who he is, only what they read in biased and twisted media coverage as the person who helped deliver Brexit. We all know he twisted things to suit his problem, which is how it’s done by all politicians and people in power. In a perfect world would have been sacked but its not perfect. As far as I’m aware disgusted from Tunbridge Wells is someone who the media uses to push their views across, “Fed up” from Rhos is real and unlike some on here won’t get in a frenzy because of it. Headlines along “Breakdown is over because we can use Cummings law” are just the usual poppycock, as you say I’m sure the vast majority of posters here are able to stick to the rules.
Taking credit for a job delivered is part of employment by government and any other company. We all deserve it if we go above and beyond, the fact the job delivered does not sit well with Brexiteers is what bothers them and never will. I personally do not care, what I do care about is the attitude of some who think they know better than others and come out with we would have done things this way or that way after the event but in reality they are as clueless as everyone else.

The Country is virtually on its knees and all everyone is concerned about is getting some nobody they despise, even though they don’t know him at all, the sack. Everyone on their high horse and I bet everyone has flouted lockdown in one way or another?. I’m sure every shop we made was essential! or every walk we took was for exercise. That pack of wolves “aka the press” outside his home today and yesterday was a disgrace, hypocritical in every sense without an ounce of social distance. If they did that in front of my child they would be facing some wrath that’s for sure. I for one am sick to death of all this rubbish political point scoring from the left, its not about you its about this country and our future well being. Today the briefing to explain the current covid situation was completely high-jacked by smug looking journalists looking for Boris to falter and to try and undermine the progress being made without any input that was worthy of a mention. I have parents, children and grandchildren and have not seen them, does it make me sad? very! does what Cummings did 6 weeks ago make me angry? no more than any other person twisting rules to suit their situation. I’m more concerned about the future.

Anything that helps get family’s and shoppers in is welcome, free parking and lots of activities will help. To be fair to the council and organisers of past festivals etc, they were making some progress before Covid 2020. Perhaps we can have some cash from the pot spent up North to help after lockdown. As for the cycling as previously said, people don’t cycle to shop, they may be a few who will change to cycling to work if there was somewhere secure, my brother cycles into Chester city centre daily to work and there are provisions to lock the bike, nothing fancy just a metal hoop. Not costly but effective and may be the way to go.

The first minister yesterday with his completely incorrect statement regarding meeting up and gatherings and today Vaughan Gething with his Golf clubs are not reopening in Wales statement. Ridiculous and embarrassing that the ones who make the Laws and issue the advise haven’t got a clue whats going on in reality. They really have a cheek complaining that Westminster is not talking to them, they are not even talking to each other. Pot kettle black springs to mind, so easy to criticise when they cant even get there own house in order.

Your usual concise answer, thanks. I also think you are probably correct but maybe most people understand your points and are willing to wash them correctly, change them often and realise the benefits. The last paragraph has me perplexed is that a generalisation of all 4 nations or just Boris and the Tories. ??

Bloody hell Matt!! in the time it took to type all that Russia sadly overtook our death rate. You start off well, Calm down, nobody wants to end the Senedd. What most people want is same rules for everyone and some leadership without the politics. I Listened to Prime ministers question Time today, other than Kier Starmer, who to be fair was excellent I thought as an opposition, was the usual tit for tat Devolved muscle flexing rubbish.

We need to open the country safely before it grinds to a halt completely and irreversibly, with more harm to society than the virus itself. That’s just common sense. Furlough cant last for ever, if you can safely work then and I know there are complexities but as a general rule of thumb, surely go to work.
Being pedantic when its obvious what the guidance is seems to be the bandwagon to jump on, most people understand the gist of things and want to do whats right for them and there family. I don’t know the answer, I wish I did but that poor speech for 20 minutes was nowhere near good enough to outline all proposals, no logic to it whatsoever, but as usual the national media and gutter press jumped on it ferociously, twisting it always to suit there narrative.
If anything comes of any sort of enquiry when this is finally over then hopefully they will be held to account as much as anyone.

Margaret, don’t blame Boris for anything to do with our health service. Our Devolved Welsh parliament is accountable for all of Wales. Welsh testing or non testing a better term is the responsibility of Public Health Wales. We cant blame Boris for all tests at Wrexham having to be taken down to Cardiff to be checked as we dont have (unless its finally opened) have a testing centre up North. PPE is the responsibility of PHW,as is the severe Welsh care home problems with not being tested, until a back track from Mark Drakeford, another PWH disgrace.

Boris has and will make mistakes but not the mistakes for Wales, PHW has to take responsibility for them and they are far from perfect.
