Has anyone read the ‘personal’ letter from David Cameron for the forthcoming election- if the standard of education the Conservatives are proposing is based on the English grammer in the letter then pity help us.
‘David’ needs to learn you don’t start sentences with:
    AND
    BY
    YET
    BUT

Welsh schools outperformed by English schools is a disgraceful statement as it implies all schools in Wales are poorly performing and our students are failing- this is factually incorrect and there are lots of examples of excellent teaching in one or two Wrexham School.
Looks like we are going backwards with a failing technology in the banks that now requires payment by cheque!!
David Cameron needs a lesson in devolved politics as Jeremy Corbyn is not the Welsh Labour Leader – this firmly is Carwyn Jones. Jeremy Corbyn has no direct control over Welsh Labour.

Is Andrew Atkinson or anyone from the Conservative Party prepared to respond?

I think the importance of this issue should not be underestimated. We have all our Political representative leadership in the area disagreeing about what is said in meetings. For Ian Lucas and Lesley Griffiths to raise their response so publicly and sending a copy to the Legal Officer in the Council is certainly serious. If Cllr Pritchard has yet again misrepresented a situation he should be reported to the Standards Committee for bringing a Public Office into disrepute.
In regard to the actual Community Council issue why did they not make submissions to the WG during the consultation period- very few were sent in by any Community Councils and why did Clr Pritchard hold a meeting the same night as One Wales which is the representative body for Community Councils.
    This clearly is not straightforward-

It is quite astonishing that Scrutiny meeting this week seem to be able to determine the use of the Peoples Market when the Council have declared that the Arts Hub will be handed to a Trust to run. Any new management -whatever structure will clearly need to maximise income any interference by the Council in determining use will be detrimental and only go towards making this whole project a failure.

It’s amazing that comments ‘off meeting’ can be heard but very often the actual Member speakers cannot be either on the webcam or if you sit in the Public Gallery. The Council really need to get their PA system sorted

Interesting that all of the foundations funding does not come from Moneypenny but they also get Lottery funding as well… http://gotlottery.uk/big-lottery-fund-the-moneypenny-foundation-6-467666 £5,000

Councillor X — I fail to see why the fact that Helen Patterson is an ex Headteacher has any relevance to her role as Chief Executive ordering the removal of the ribbons — if the school was open that is a different issue- the fact that she sees the building as ‘our’ property is the key point at this stage.
The added issue of Health and Safety seems extraordinary when less than 3 months ago the Coleg Cambria plan was to retain and utilise the building– if there had been a major internal fire or similar that changed the structural integrity then yes H & S could be an issue.

What if we put forward additional savings the same amount as the increase in Rates would generate- would the rise still go ahead

    Dylan very funny linkage

On a serious note it appears that the Executive are trying to keep things under wraps re staffing cuts so food on Clr Dana Davies for raising the issue at Tuesday’s Executive.
If 200 senior management (5 tiers) equated to up to £3m savings then it is quite clear that the same principle if £8.9m shown in reshaping Departments will come from massive staffing cuts. The figure of 1000 is potentially significantly lower than the number actually required to achieve this level of savings.
The Council need to be very clear to the public what they are looking to stop completely.
It should also be noted that the total staff in Council is now aprox 6500- nearly 2,500 are protected as they are teachers or school based staff so are hugely unlikely to be included in the 1000 plus redundancies as they on protected budgets. 1000 cut from 4000 will result in a 25% cut– what are we as the Pubic not going to have as a result of this massive cut at a time of us having to pay more.

I think the point is trying to raise is that no one listened at the meetings–
I take Benjamin’s point and it is not about removing all street furniture but having items that are friendly to ALL users of an area.. there are plenty that would be suitable for all.
If you look at the King Street area the ‘wave’ benches are not suitable for anyone — if you need a rest you have no back rest, no arms on the end to help you get up totally useless — the only ‘good’ thing is that they are nit even suitable for a homeless person to sleep!
The big tree planters taper to the floor — this means if you are using a white cane you feel the bottom and think you can go straight in only to find that you walk into the big basin bit as they are so large– easily solved with a but of thought by the designer.
At no time was an Equality Impact Assessment undertaken.
We should all be able to live in harmony with each other irrespective of whether we are ‘able’ bodied today we may end if with a physical impairment any time in our lives or just plain old age sets in. Lets get it right for us now and not have to fight for thins to be right when we are less able..

JOK if you remember the meetings in the Guildhall were a farce — no matter what you and the rest of us raised we were told no — Improved crossing between the bus station and the CoOp — NO; move your own taxi rank to by the Fat Cat — NO– change bus unloading area — NO
The buses backed up waiting to unload causing blocked roads is now as bad as ever
Design failure from start to finish and nothing really to show as an improvement for the £1.25 million project.
As it was supposed to regenerate the area what bes businesses have come apart from the one buying clothes etc next to the Credit Union.
    Were are the new joi
bs that were supposed to be created — cant see any evidence any were created
It is strange that after Lesley did her walk about the weed planters (the weeds have been high for weeks) mysteriously got cleared.
