justjojo2011ParticipantBrilliant photo. I can’t imagine trams on Brook Street. How would they ever get through the hoards of drunken teenagers? lol

According to last weeks Wrexham Council planning applications, the following application has been placed for 1 Charles Street, Wrexham:
Alterations And Extensions To Existing Ice Cream Bar And Restaurant To Noodle Bar With Garden Cafe, Rear Entrance And Staff Parking Bay To Rear
Am presuming this is where the old Bumbles shop used to be as after that closed down it was changed to a restaurant/ice cream bar for a few months.Just what we need.. another student bar that sells junk.
justjojo2011ParticipantI don’t think this would cause any negative outcomes. As far as I can tell, it will being more jobs to the area and would probably help boost our own economy. I have no idea how this works, but would it make our own energy cheaper?

It must be difficult for a Local Authority employee to have pride in anything they way they are treated.
Or maybe they could be really pleased they have a job and actually do it well? I’m sorry they think their pensions are not enough but I have no sympathy in that, which is a whole different kettle of fish. Seeing as I am paying my council tax ON TIME every month, I would like those who are paid to do the jobs to at least try and do it properly. If I were to be such a layabout with MY job, I would be sacked. Why is this any different?
justjojo2011ParticipantActually I’ve just been on the Capricorn site. We are looking at the end of August so we don’t have to worry about catteries when we just get the animal (ie, after our holiday lol). I wonder.. if I talk nicely to my daddy and beg lots….. lol

There is also Capricorn Animal Rescue – we had a lovely cat from them that was about a year old and very loving. She is also playful and they often have cats or kittens that need re-homing along with other animals.
Capricorn is in Mold right? Bit hard to get to when you don’t drive unfortunately. It’s a shame that all we have in Wrexham is Cats Protection.
justjojo2011ParticipantI think the unfair part is to assume anyone aged between 16 and 24 needs to be on a curfew. Why does society do that? Its just like that stereotype that assumes anyone wearing a hoodie MUST be a violent thug. My 4 year old has hoodies, but he’s not out breaking into cars.
I think it is fairer to say that anyone of any age can be a trouble maker and end up in trouble with the police be they 10 or 90.

I have heard that there has been a spate of garage and house thefts in our area recently and wondered if anyone has had a small child knocking on their windows as I had this afternoon.
I don’t live in Coedpoeth but I have heard about shed break ins in outside areas. Would be kinda scary to have someone knocking on your windows

They do occasionally have kittens, maybe they can keep your details on file and let you know.
Do you really need to have kittens though? They will only be kittens for a short while :-)
We had a couple of youngish cats from there about 5 years ago. They have been the best behaved cats we have ever had.
I don’t mind a young cat, but ideally something young enough to play. My 4 year old doesn’t want to play with a cat that glares at him lol

If it sounds too good to be true, then it most definately is. Hang up or destroy the letter. Or hand it over to trading standards. (For all the good that might do, but you never know)
But a vulnerable person may not be aware that it’s probably too good to be true. Or someone who is dead on their arse financially. Debt can do funny things to people
