” where I have challenged those to put up something plausible to counter what is posted nothing has come forward”

Did you read the links where the people ended up in prison?? Is that not plausible?

” ok your dog’s craps on the street & you don’t pick it up how is that a crime? ”

It is because the law says so and GOOD. Bill them and if they dont pay convict them in Court

“all have the right to not pay fines before conviction. Put more simply let those who are plaintiff prove ???”

That’s why its a penalty notice. Pay it or go to court. You can challenge their rights in Court. From the evidence available YOU WILL LOSE.

No-one really has to obey rules if they want,

So if they cause a collision then what?
Andy it is obvious to me you never read all of the posts in a thread, your question has been answered. READ!

As I said its all a money making exercise. Don’t PAY – NO NAME = £0 fine

According to recent figures all of the councils using Kingdom’s services have achieved better than a 60% payment rate.

Ergo less than 40% of succeed in paying nothing.

Joan, it could be the tactic of refusing to give personal information could work in big cities where people are more incognito.
In Wrexham it would be too easy to identify offenders.
In all the years I have walked around town the faces I see I know less & less. Your argument is valid but still as I say let those that point the finger prove what ever. Even if you have been caught more than 1ce if you never give details then obviously they never know who your person (birthcert, more to come on that later) is.
Noting that Wrexham Council have not tweeted the number of litter fines so thanks Wrexham.com for raising awareness of the disparity compared to dog fouling albeit the figures provided from Wrexham Council I guess.

So the model seems to be the same in Wrexham as has been reported in other towns and cities.
41 fines for dog fouling compared to 591 fines for littering.
Considering also that this is during the honeymoon period when the enforcement is hoping to be reported in the media as a positive outcome.
    41 x £75 = £3075 vs 591 x £75 = £44325.
    Total £47400.

So if Wrexham Council and Kingdom have the same contract or similar to other towns as reported in the media this means that so far Wrexham Council have to pay Kingdom around £40 to £55 per correctly issued ticket so around £30k. (632 tickets x £50 = £31600)

If this is the case should not the story be reported that so far Wrexham Council owe Kingdom £30k in fees so far and will only be paid the value of the tickets ie £75 successfully paid.
Whether the fines are paid is not guaranteed, more an if, a butt or a maybe, to use the Wrexham Council twitter wit.

So possibly the only ones making any money will be Kingdom leaving Wrexham as has happened with other councils out of pocket.
Possibly somebody could find out if this is the case ?
Do we have to obey traffic lights and what’s JoanTheHag’s position on this?

    SHE MUST BE HEARD.
Depends on your point of view. No-one really has to obey rules if they want, but here the highway code was designed as a set of rules that would hepl users to navigate safely. EG cars here have steering wheel on the right & drive on the left, you don’t really want all driving as they see fit do you? IF everyone did what they wanted all hell would break lose. So to answer your question, if you are going toward a red light especially if you can see traffic crossing your path as they are on green what do you think will happen if you don’t stop for red?
Mold Road roundabout is confusing to anyone who is not local (or even locals). A couple of years ago they altered the lane instructions by putting up yellow signs BUT, the markings painted on the lanes have not been altered. Surely it would not cost much to bring the lane markings in line with the signs.
Agree that rb is too small for lights, they should be scrapped & let traffic use it as they would any other rb. even better put it back as it used to before Q&B opened. There were 2 lanes each direction, could have simply put lights on it as it was, much cheaper too.
Nearly had another bump at the traffic lights at the Ruthin Road bypass lights
today. Just come off the bypass today, a car travelling from Coedpoeth goes straight
through on red it’s not the first time this has happened can drivers not see the red light
or are the timings out. someone is going to get seriously hurt onday.
Yes have been on that junction many timnes, people do pull out & instead of putting foot down, they trundle along as though tomorrow will do.
Gresford roundabout is a nightmare … it not only has clearly marked lanes, but some of them are even different coloured tarmac to clearly indicate the distinction between one and the other … and yet the number of people who still pull into the completely wrong lane and then cut you up is ridiculous!
What you must remember that roundabout (rb) was much better designed before they started to messed with it. In those days it had 2 lanes & was much simpler to navigate. Now when people who come here espicially for the 1st time, they will not know where they are going & therefore because of the stupid way it has been newly designed then confusuion will cause an actual/near miss. Solution, but will not be implimented anytime soon: go back to how it used to be. Simples! The business of having 1 lane split in 2 then back into 1 & lanes merging no wonder poeple get confused. If you are on that rb alot then you get used it, for others it’s a pain in the arse.
