Captain CParticipantBREAKING NEWS !!!
It will be confirmed next week that both the Rhosrobin and Home Farm Llay applications WILL be going in front of the Planning Committee on October 5th @ 4.00pm. The Planning Officer is recommending refusal for the Rhosrobin one but acceptance for the Llay one even though the fields are sinking and water logged. In the latest report on soakaways the land failed the tests applied completely but the planning officer has just ignored this. Residents have photographs taken over the last thirty years showing the fields flat but now if you view them they have sunk a hell of a lot.
Captain CParticipantJust a heads up for everyone who cares: This will go before planning on the 5th October and so will the application for the proposed estate in Rhosrobin. Should be a lively meeting.
Captain CParticipantAs it’s Crown property how about “Queens Park” as the name is no longer in use in Wrexham.
Captain CParticipantCrane Street? No such street in Wrexham, you must be referring to Duke Street.
Captain CParticipantI think it was more of voting for the man not the party. Rob Walsh is a great worker and really works for Llay and the residents. The same can be said of Terry Boland (Labour) who works very hard indeed in the village and together they will make a great team.
Captain CParticipantI wanted to buy a chest freezer for use in my garage. I looked at Curry’s on line and found the one I required with free next day delivery from the Wrexham Store. As I wanted to support my local Curry’s and let a member of Staff earn their commission I went in and started to place my order. The young lady brought it up on the computer and said that it would be £40 to deliver. I cancelled the purchase went home purchased it on line and it was delivered the next morning by the Wrexham van free of charge.
Captain CParticipantI’m just fed of the changing face of Wales. I was born in the Grosvenor Road Nursing Home during the War Years.
That means that I was born in Denbighshire, then I lived in Clwyd and now live in Wrexham County borough.
All this without changing areas, I’m Welsh and proud but just don’t know were I live.
Captain CParticipantThe land was owned by a man named Morgan (who just happens to own Redrow Builders). He then sold it on to a company (which I believe he owns) for use as the golf course. When the golf club closed he then bought it back and as it is no longer agricultural land but has been used for a business over the last 9 years it is now cheap land for Redrow to build on in the future and as such much harder to oppose. Never trust a clever developer as he will stab us all in the back.
Captain CParticipantHi Daave63,
Listen Craptin, you are obviously aiming this at me as I am both extremely clever and extremely funny, and you acquisition that I spoil good threads with my stupid remarks is like the kettle calling the pot or what ever it is!! Free speech is all about, well speech and its er…free. Maureen was persecuted off this site, for her crazy threads, so lets here no more about it!!
You must have a guilty conscience because I was not referring to you, I actually find you quite funny and love the picture you use as your log on. I like good humour but not when it belittles the topic on a thread, so lets be friends and call a truce. :)
Captain CParticipantLove it, I had to look twice and I think you are right it is Nicola Sturgeon.
