I for one will hold no truck with anyone who criticises Malcom King.He was the man who quite literally coaxed every victim of the Bryn Estyn Child Abuse scandal to come forward with their story.Of course he made himself unpopular with those with the funny hand shakes.Yes the same type of people who carried out the abuse.Wow,I could say a lot more but the powers that be are watching every word!

Are you trying to say that Malcolm King is a freemason and that Freemasons are the type of men who would commit this type of offence. Firstly I don’t think he is a Freemason and secondly if you knew anything about them you would realise how stupid the remark is.

I’m sure it was posted tongue in cheek and not meant to cause offence to any one. We all lost relations in the Great Wars and I’m sure observed the minutes silence at 11.00am today.
If you are going to jump on that to state your case then you too will lose credibility in this matter. It was just an off the cuff statement that highlighted how serious we are all taking this matter and I must admit I chuckled when I read it and I lost quite a few relations in both the first and second wars.

It will not help local shops because they want to build a store in the middle of the estate. Local tradesmen would not be used because it would have to be a large size builder to take this on and they will bring in their own subcontractors. The anthrax point was made as the farmer was deemed to have used the swill from the pig farm for spraying on the land as fertilizer at the time of the anthrax outbreak. Cattle were dying on this farmland three years ago and were taken away but the result were never published.
I agree that only factual reasons can be used to oppose this application and leaving aside the anthrax problem there are many good reasons to oppose.
It’s interesting to hear the views of a person who is in favour of the estate being built because of the hundreds we have spoke to in this area you are the only one that seems to be for it (not counting the farmer and the architect who are obviously in favour).

I run a business in the Wrexham area and live in Llay. I am against the development as it will bring nothing to the area but will take away green fields, increase traffic and overcrowd the doctors and schools. Llay is a great place to live and I am very proud to be Welsh living in a Welsh village.
If you want a petition in support of this massive site I would recommend you contact the farmer as we could not find anyone else in favour.

    Hi, Llayfaithfull,

We have photos of the fields along Gresford Road going back to the 70s and it was very flat. In the last 10 years it has sunk so much and flooding on it is now much more common. We can produce these photos along with ones that other residents have taken for any planning committee that requires proof. I am also appealing for photos of the Straight Mile over the years as I and lots of other residents remember it being flat. In fact in the last eight years the council thought fit to erect a “sign warning of a blind summit” this was not deemed to be required before then.

The land between Rhosrobin and Pandy was called Green Barrier in the planning meeting on Tuesday and that land is not even farmed on.

This land is still farmed for crops, sheep and lambs are there from December onwards and the young cattle appear later, move off for a while and then return again after the field is cut.

The phrase Green belt land is not as common as most people think and we refer to agriculture land as green belt depending on the grade. Wales has only one formally designated green belt area which is located between Newport and Cardiff.
This is classed as Grade 3 land and housing estates may not be built on Grade 1, 2 or
3a so the danger is they will try to refer to this as Grade 3b which it is not.
