brymbo76ParticipantAfter reading those last posts from Travis Bickle, let’s end this thread here then as we’re going totally off-topic now and becoming pointless and silly.
And I can’t be arsed with replying anymore if people aren’t going to be sensible about anything!August 18, 2016 at 10:38 pm in reply to: New Post Office – A little too close already to the Town Hill one? #117942
brymbo76ParticipantSensible suggestions only please!
Like I said, I was talking originally about vacated shops, not sharing with a pub or placing it in a car park!
And Subway shops are way too small to fit any other business within their establishment!August 18, 2016 at 9:51 pm in reply to: New Post Office – A little too close already to the Town Hill one? #117939
brymbo76ParticipantWhy would you say that? What makes you think I am looking for a job or another job?
I’ve got a good job thanks.
Certainly wouldn’t work 16 hours a week unless I was getting paid the same after 16 hours a week for what I get paid for 37.5 hours a week!August 18, 2016 at 9:12 pm in reply to: New Post Office – A little too close already to the Town Hill one? #117930
brymbo76ParticipantWell never insult me again and make me make out I am as thick as you!!!
If you haven’t got anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all!!!
Especially to fellow Wrexham folk!!!
And now let me do the insulting and call you an insulting b*stard!!!August 18, 2016 at 6:22 pm in reply to: New Post Office – A little too close already to the Town Hill one? #117923
brymbo76ParticipantWell, Daave63, no need to be so rude!
I don’t know why people need to be so rude to people they don’t even know on forums!
I can think for myself as I did say “One idea I had is for the Town Hill one to move to the upstairs of WHSmith and for the Henblas Square one to move further up town” and “One such idea would be where Yeomans used to be”.
So I can think for myself as I gave my opinion, I was simply asking what ideas others had.August 15, 2016 at 10:58 pm in reply to: New Post Office – A little too close already to the Town Hill one? #117724
brymbo76ParticipantI’m not sure how to take “As you can’t think for yourself”, if that is an insult to me or not!
Anyway, at one time when I used to see a lot of stuff on ebay, I did take everything to a Post Office to have everything weighed and asked whether I want 1st or 2nd class and have a label printed and placed on it – took forever if I had more than about 3 items to post!
I would either take my items to one of the two Post Offices in town or depending where I was and where I was going to and which one was the closest or more convenient, I would go to Brymbo, Southsea, Holt Road or Dean Road Post Office.
Because of how long it took, I was sometimes starting to hold a few people up if there was only one till opened so I decided to look into paying for my postage online and printing out my own labels so now I use Royal Mail’s Click & Drop service and hardly ever use a Post Office now to be honest so if my items are small enough, all I have to do is drop them off in a letter box.
But for those people who need or prefer to use a Post Office, I do think considering how spread out everything is in the town centre, for something like a Post Office, it would be ideal if there were 2 of them opposite ends of town or just one larger one more centrally located in town.
brymbo76ParticipantStill don’t think my questions have really been replied to with correct accurate information and answers yet though.

Not sure if anyone has already asked this yet, but I’d like to ask:
1. Why going towards Chester on the A483 have at least two of the lay-by’s been completely closed off? Only a tiny part of them are currently being used by those solar powered electronic signs flashing to remind you of the nightly road closures. It’s not like the electronic signs are taking up the entire lengths of the lay-by’s so why can’t just a small section be cordoned off and keep the lay-by’s open for people who need to pull over to use them for any emergency?
2. Also heading towards Chester, has anyone commented and asked why the England sign has been taken down? For what reason was it taken down? Is it being replaced with a new one? Not that I’m bothered since I’m Welsh. Rather nice not having to see that sign to make you think you are still in Wales ;-)
brymbo76ParticipantAlso in reply to the below, those laybys are a few miles away from where the roadworks are taking place. I can’t see how anyone parking there either for a few minutes or a few hours overnight could possible inconvenience the roadworks since the laybys aren’t exactly in the vicinity of the roadworks. The Highways Agency just like to inconvenience everyone to the maximum effect when there is no need to.
“1/ The Highways Agency don’t want trucks overnighting in the laybys whilst the works are taking place”.
brymbo76Participant1. I’m sure just in English will do.
2. I agree.
brymbo76Participant1. They could just put a sign up to say ‘No Overnight Parking’.
2. Yes, obviously England is still there. Just don’t see what removing the roadsign has anything to do with the roadworks yet the ones for Wales and Wrexham have remained. -
