One of the most important Planning Meetings for the city in many years, and yet a number of members of the Planning Committee were not present. The sound quality in some cases was poor. It would be helpful if at the beginning of the meeting a list of committee members was shown with a tick placed against those taking part. Voting should be clear and obvious to everyone including those viewing online. The final vote was done three times. Only 11 people voted, but it took three times to get it right! How about a list of names , call name and record , for, against , or abstain. Everyone in public gallery and watching online would clearly see how each Councillor voted. A few simple changes would improve the experience for the public and encourage more people to view proceedings.

They’ll regret breaking policy on that Glyn Ceiriog application, the next time a greedy landlord tries to close a pub you can bet your bottom they’ll appeal based on this precedent.
