Clwyd South: Mandy Jones – UK Independence Party (UKIP)
As part of Wrexham.com’s Welsh Assembly Election coverage we invited all candidates from Clwyd South and Wrexham to participate in a video interview and submit a small bio on themselves and why they are standing in the election.
Personal Statement – Mandy Jones -UK Independence Party (UKIP)
Corwen resident, Mandy Jones, comes from a hardworking background.
Mandy was a shepherd and farm contractor in the area for 14 years and then ran her own business.
She has brought her family up in the Corwen area for over 30 years and her grown up children are all fluent Welsh speakers.
Mandy attended Llysfasi College, for many years, studying Agriculture and attained Student of the Year in June 2000, specialising in Small Animal Care.
She is also a qualified teacher, in Adult Education and Special Needs, having studied at Yale, Wrexham.
Mandy is passionate about getting the best deal for South Clwyd & North Wales, she says: “We desperately need extra funding here in North Wales, South Wales gets all the cream and North Wales gets the left overs and I intend to fight hard for my county.
“UKIP is the only party, representing ordinary people, North Wales needs a strong voice in the Senedd, to fight for the benefit of South Clwyd and indeed, North Wales”
