Two cars were targeted in Pandy overnight, with another damaged in Rhosddu on Tuesday.

Officers in the Wrexham area are alerting owners of Vauxhall Corsa’s to a current spate of thefts of car parts.

In the past 10 days, a total of 3 reports of thefts of parts of parked cars have been made to North Wales Police. The offences take place during hours of darkness and Vauxhall Corsa’s appear to have been targeted.

Police say: “It is likely that another car will be parked up in close proximity and the car targeted may look as if it is broken down with people working under the bonnet. In some cases, entire bumpers have been removed.”

Wrexham.com reported of an incident on Tuesday, which at the time was not linked to other incidents. Since then other reports have surfaced of odd damage and theft.

The cars affected in Pandy are believed to be a gold Vauxhall Corsa, which had bodywork stolen, and another car that had a numberplate taken – later recovered in a nearby field.

As usual police are asking for the public’s help via their 101 number with reference S150801, asking for suspicious behaviour to be reported.
