Natural Resources Wales have said they are investigating a pollution incident in a tributary of the River Gwenfro.

Officers are pictured collecting samples of a white liquid in the natural water.

Natural Resources Wales published the images stating: “Our officers are investigating a pollution incident in a tributary of the Afon Gwenfro in Coedpoeth, Wrexham.”

“We have identified the source and we are working to stop any more pollution entering the river and reduce the impact on the environment.”

Last year in a similar location a ‘dairy product’ was thought to behind a similar pollution alert.
