Broken Down Train Causes Rail Delays For Wrexham Passengers

A broken down freight train has this morning caused significant delays to passengers travelling from Wrexham.

Arriva Trains Wales tweeted this morning saying that a ‘Broken down freight train between Shotton/Neston is causing delays of up to 40 minutes to trains between Shotton/Bidston’.

As a result of the broken down train, there are delays for those travelling from Wrexham Central to Bidston.

Arriva Trains Wales have since tweeted to say: “Buses will run between these stations, extending journey times by up to 30 minutes. This is expected to continue until 12:15.”

Replacement road transport will convey passengers between Shotton and Bidston and a bus will depart Shotton aproximately 11:20 calling stations to Bidston.

A bus will depart Bidston 11:32 calling all stations to Shotton, setting down as required to Wrexham.
