An ‘elderly female and an adult female’ have been hospitalised following a ‘serious’ collision near Hanmer this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the A539 (The Turning for Hanmer/Overton) and Peartree Lane (Horseman’s Green) shortly before 3:30pm this afternoon, with one fire crew from Wrexham and another from Whitchurch attending the scene.

It is believed one female casualty was removed from one of the vehicles after being trapped.
