Two Hospitalised Following Hanmer Collision

An ‘elderly female and an adult female’ have been hospitalised following a ‘serious’ collision near Hanmer this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the A539 (The Turning for Hanmer/Overton) and Peartree Lane (Horseman’s Green) shortly before 3:30pm this afternoon, with one fire crew from Wrexham and another from Whitchurch attending the scene.

It is believed one female casualty was removed from one of the vehicles after being trapped.

Ben told us: “Two ambulances have passed me, police and fire plus the helicopter was above.”

One person who was in the flow of traffic nearby has described the incident as ‘serious’.

The Welsh Ambulance Service have told us: “We were called at about 3.25pm to reports of a road traffic collision on the A539 near Hanmer. Two emergency ambulances are currently in attendance at the scene.

“An elderly female and an adult female have been taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital in a stable condition.”
