No more pointless AM politicians please. Let’s be realistic apart from stupid projects that no-one wants the whole WAG isn’t good for an awful lot.

I mean really if you have an issue who thinks I know I’ll write to my local AM Lesley Griffiths or Ken Skates. It’s write to your local MP every single time.

I once wrote to Lesley Griffiths about the concern over closure of Plas Madoc & even though she would have had a large number of constituents who travel to and use the leisure centre. She basically turned round and said it wasn’t in her jurisdiction and therefore not her problem. Absolute farce.

Either go the whole hog and give the WAG sufficient legislative powers to make it worth all its cost and bluster or just knock it on the head entirely. We do not need more politicians, better politicians yes. I bet the vast majority of these new AMs would conveniently mostly be from South Wales and the Cardiff area anyway – further marginalising North Wales.
Never thought i’d see the day, but I agree with Matt. Why not go further and abolish the WAG altogether?
Unlike the local Tories who insist on needing a load of pomp and circumstance locally by inflating their presence with a series of appointed officials to fill a glaring hole in the distinct absence of any senior politicians, the Labour party doesn’t need a vocal and visible chairperson to do the dirty bidding of local officials too scared to actually break their nice-guy images and speak out against those they disagree with directly.
Does that mean Labour do not have a Chairman?

These are just about the silliest posts i’ve ever seen on here by the Labour faithful. Hands up all those who know who the Labour CLP Chairman is?

No one could ever accuse Gresford’s Andrew Atkinson of being camera shy, I will bet all comers he will be snapped at the reopening of McDonald, Pappa John’s, and the proposed new coffee shop within the same building. For those unfamiliar with this self publicising individual, fear not, local publications will be clattered in his photo over the coming months, Ty Pawb opening, Techniquest launch, King Street bus station refurb, local scout groups that raise anything over a quid, all the low hanging fruit, all you could ever NOT want in a local politician.

Yes because you never see our MP or AM snatching any photo opportunity they get?
He’s obviously got under the skin of Labour in Wrexham. Reading these infantile posts i’ve come up with a brilliant idea, lets have a men only council with a minimum age of 75, you know like it used to be under Labour. Whatever you do, do NOT have young people from various trades on the council as this could upset the old boys club that used to exist.
If the lower orders would exercise a modicum of restraint and forego their Sky Sports subscription or their second annual holiday to Magaluf they would have adequate financial resource for food.

The typical social housing tenant could probably stand to lose some weight anyway.
Surely you must remember all the dead bodies lying in the street due to starvation prior to food banks?

You obviously think it funny for speeding drivers to kill and maim people.
