It’s part stupidity, but ‘normalcy bias’ plays a big part too. Not helped by the time lag between now and two to four weeks time. We’re going to find out the hard way what absolute heroes our NHS staff are.

Normalcy bias is a human evolutionary fail and should be dubbed Lemming Syndrome. Darwin’s theory of survival of the fittest in play here, if all the stupid people go round galavanting and end up catching Coronavirus for the sake of a Big Mac and dying then it serves them right.

It’s just sad that it would unfortunately take out some more sensible and guarded members of the population and take up vital oxygen and ventilators. The only way this can be dealt with is to stay away from such idiots by remaining indoors unless needed.

I have no sympathy whatsoever for those flaunting the rules and falling sick when the rest of us are doing as we’re told. The question you have to ask yourself is, just how DEADLY would you have to explain to people that something is before they realise it’s not a good idea to risk going outside? Would they be driving to take selfies with a nuclear mushroom cloud?

Would they be driving to take selfies with a nuclear mushroom cloud?

    Some of ’em would.
