Calling all budding costume designers – Your local pantomime needs you!

Design an apron for the dame and win family tickets to the show – and see your design in the pantomime.

The traditional pantomime at Grove Park Theatre in Wrexham is now in its fourth decade – and still going strong. This year we want to get local schools involved in pantomime magic by designing an apron to be worn by Sarah the Cook – the dame in our production of Dick Whittington and His Cat, which runs from December 7 to January 5.

The competition is open to children in two age groups – from 5 to 7 and from 8 to 11. Entries must be submitted to the theatre at Hill Street, Wrexham, by 26th October 2012. Winners in each category will win tickets for a family of four to attend the pantomime and the overall winner will also have their design turned into a real-life apron by the theatre’s wardrobe mistress – and it will be worn by the dame during the whole run of the show.

Please make sure each entry includes the name, address and age of the entrant.

If you have any further questions on the competition please contact Stephen Giles, publicity manager at Grove Park Theatre, on 07789 454164.
