“During this month we would like people to think about not only their own mother, but also the mothers and families they can help with their blood donation. As one donation can help three adults or seven babies, donors really can make a difference and help to save a life. We have made it through the winter months due to the dedication of our existing blood donors, but the need for blood doesn’t stop and we still need donors to come forward throughout the year.”

Anyone aged between 17-65, weighing more than 50 kg (7st 12lbs) and in general good health could potentially start saving lives by becoming a blood donor. There is no upper age limit for donors who have donated in the last two years. Advanced booking is required.
