Volunteering Workshop

Location: Wrexham Museum

Date / Time: Saturday 10th March, 11.00 am

Prices: N/A

As part of a HLF funded project, ‘Our Social Networks’ Mencap Cymru will be holding monthly volunteer meetings at Wrexham Museum.

Throughout the next two and a half years our project will be collecting the oral histories of the friendships and relationships experienced by people with a learning disability.

We are looking for people with an interest in stories, oral history and heritage to volunteer with us. We will need people to staff our pop-up exhibitions at Plas Madoc Leisure Centre and the new Arts Centre. We will also need to people to contribute ideas to the design of the exhibition. Volunteers will receive exhibition interpretation training from St. Fagan’s National History Museum and oral history training from People’s Collection Wales.

Pop along to our meeting at Wrexham Museum on Saturday 10th March at 11.00am to hear more.
