Snail Race, Family Fun Day

Details: After the roaring success of last year, local charity Advance Brighter Futures are delighted to announce the return of their much loved Snail Race, set for the 11th April!

“You mean like, REAL snails??” you might say –

– not quite! This event revolves around animated, cartoon snails competing with each other in a series of 8 races- each vying to win one of the above prizes for their respective owners.
On offer is:

‘Meet the Pony’ experience with CAE HIC Riding Centre

Afternoon tea for four on Pontsycyllte Aqueduct, with Jones the Boats

Family one-day admission to Greenacres Animal Park

Family one-day admission to Park Hall Farm

£25 voucher with Rascals Retreat for a family fun experience

Aromatherapy Massage, Holistic Therapy Treatment

Cupcakes from EmzCakes Cafe

Cat and dog bits n pieces, donated by Ark Pet Supplies

For a chance to win one of the prizes you purchase a Snail for £5 and call it whatever name you like (free entry to the event included with purchase).

Your Snail will then compete in one of the 8 races (in a randomised process) to win one of the prizes.

As with a typical Races event, you’ll also be able to bet on each of the Snails on the day to win cash prizes!

Anyone who attended last year can tell you how much fun this is, and it’s going to be super-family-friendly with lots of fun activities for the kids.

There’s going to be a cartoon impressionist, cake stall, lucky dip, name the snail challenge, hot dogs, soft drinks etc.

General admission is £1.50 on the door and children 12 or under go free.

Aside from being a lot of fun, this is also a chance to raise an awful lot of money for a very worthy mental health charity which makes such a huge difference to people’s lives in the Wrexham area.
