Details: Wrexham Playday 2015
Wrexham will once again be celebrating National Play Day on Wednesday 5th August from 12pm to 4pm on Queen’s Square and Llwyn Isaf (the Guildhall field). People of all ages including babies and toddlers, older children and young people, parents, professionals and grandparents, are invited to join in this free and playful event. Organisations involved in children’s play and playwork from across Wrexham will be coming together to provide a wide range of playful opportunities, including favourites like the giant sandpit, mass waterfight, junk play and rope swings.

The aim of the event is to highlight the importance of children’s play, the theme this year is to “play more”.

Approximately 3000 people visited our Playday event last year and we aim to make this year’s even bigger and better, but this can only happen if people come along and join in the fun. All we ask is that you bring along a playful mood and some clothes you don’t mind getting wet and messy. In the past families have brought along picnics and stayed all afternoon!
To get a better idea of the sorts of things that happen on Playday, please visit: www.wrexham.gov.uk/play and click on the Playday link to view photographs from previous events.
