Wrexham Swimming Club Shine In Llandudno Gala

61 swimmers from Wrexham Swimming Club won a haul of medals when they took part in the recent North Wales Swimming Championships.

The event, which took place over the first two weekends in February saw the team win a total of 145 medals.

The Club’s medal haul included 13 golds, 28 silver and 114 bronze along with a whopping 221 personal best times achieved. The Men’s Open Relay Team also won the Double Gold in the Freestyle and Medley Relays. 113 National swimming Standards were also achieved.

Head Coach Craig Prime said: “These are excellent results from 61 swimmers. This was the biggest representation from the Club in its history and the results didn’t disappoint. I am delighted to see all the hard work and commitment paid off and I am proud to be head coach of such an outstanding Club.”

The Club is al always on the lookout for new talent and welcomes new swimmers to the Club. Anyone interested in becoming a member can call it at the training venue at Wrexham Waterworld between 4.30 and 6pm any weekday evening.
