After a disappointing season there has been much speculation to which players will stay and leave Wrexham FC.

Today new manager Kevin Wilkin starts the process of shaping the team in his vision, outlining who he wishes to keep at the Racecourse and who can move on to pastures new.

Only five Wrexham players are currently in contract, allowing Wilkin almost free reign to pick and choose who to keep.

The players that are currently under contract are:
Neil Ashton
Jay Harris
Rob Evans
Andy Bishop
Elliott Durrell

So far the club have tweeted two players have been confirmed as released:

With Clowes, Coughlin, Hunt, Royle, Tomassen, Carrington, Rushton & Livesey all being offered contracts , and Bailey-Jones, Clarke, Colbeck, Parle, Stephens, Wright, Ogleby & Keates all listed as ‘Still to see’.

The club have added “Mayebi gone on holiday, so will catch him later – Kev Thornton invited for pre-season training after injury.”

Today’s list will indicate if there will be an active summer in the transfer market or not as a squad is formed for next seasons campaign with further talks with the rest of the squad to take place tomorrow.

Earlier news today saw the renaming of one of the Racecourse’s stands, plus the long awaited news that Glyndwr University are replacing the pitch over the summer.
