On Monday December 3rd, a party of Year 12 and 13 Religious Studies and History students from Ysgol Rhiwabon, near Wrexham, had the rare opportunity to take part in a Holocaust Study Day conference held at St Giles’ Church in Wrexham.

This gave students an insight into the extraordinary lives of some survivors. They also got the chance to meet and question Jack Aizenburg, a Holocaust survivor.

Helen Savva, Curriculum Leader for RS, said “It was an incredible experience for all involved and was deeply moving hearing Mr Aizenburg speak of his life during and after the Holocaust.
