Your Space Wrexham marking its tenth anniversary with celebratory event

A local autism charity backed by ‘Super Paul Mullin’ will be marking its tenth anniversary this autumn with a celebratory event.

Your Space, based in Llay, started as a pilot activity and social club for people aged between eight and 19 who are on the Autistic Spectrum.

It provides provides high quality, engaging sports, social and arts activities and after school and holiday clubs for youngsters – as well as family swim nights, sibling Sundays and family days out.

A Family Outreach Team also provides support to parents and carers alongside an in house counsellor.

Your Space became a registered charity in 2013 and has gone on to secure the backing of Wrexham AFC star Paul Mullin, who is patron of the organisation.

To mark its tenth anniversary the charity will play host to a celebration event at Rossett Hall on Friday 13 October.

On the evening there will be entertainment, an auction/raffle, a hot buffet, dignitaries present and a photo booth.

Tickets cost £30 with one free photo in the booth and one entry to the raffle upon production of your event ticket.

The auction will include the following

  • Signed framed Manchester United shirt from a current squad member with a Certificate ofAuthenticity
  • Signed framed England Rugby Union shirt with a Certificate of Authenticity
  • Signed framed Wales Rugby Union shirt with a Certificate of Authenticity
  • A framed signed Paul Mullin Wrexham AFC shirt
  • Signed Warrington Wolves Rugby League shirt

A spokesperson for Your Space, said: “As a charity we rely on volunteers to help run our sessions along with helping to us to provide the best level of service for our young people and families whilst also ensuring that funders will get the best value for money from our services.

“All of our volunteers receive the same level of training as our staff and we have an excellent record of progression from volunteers to the staff team, some of whom are autistic themselves, which as a charity we are very proud of.”
