Young Woman Killed In Brymbo Crash

A young woman has died after a major crash involving two cars in Brymbo last night.

The crash involving a blue Peugeot 106 and a blue Renault Laguna took place on the B5101 Vicarage Road in Brymbo at 7.20pm yesterday.

Police, ambulances and the fire service all rushed to the scene in an attempt to rescue the passengers, however police confirmed that a 21 year old woman was declared dead shortly afterwards.

A 21 year old man was also seriously injured and taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

One of the vehicles had overturned with a person trapped inside.

Police have yet to name the woman who died but said she was from the Wrexham area and that her next of kin had been informed.
