A music event that was due to take place this month in the town centre has been postponed, with refunds being offered to ticketholders.

A tweet via the Wrexposure account had been placed mentioning an announcement would be made by yesterday, and the Google Cache for the event website indicates that no announcement had been made as of last night.

A Wrexham.com Forum poster last week created a thread on our forums querying why the licence signage had been removed from Llwyn Isaf, and the lack of communication from organisers.

In an announcement placed on the event’s website today, yet dated 20th August, a postponement was confirmed: “It is with great regret that we announce the postponement of Wrexposure 2014 due to reasons beyond our control.”

“Following meetings with Wrexham County Borough Council we have been advised to change the date of the one-day music festival, which was originally planned for September 20th.

“The good news is that a new date has been set for Easter weekend on Saturday, April 4th. At the time of writing, all acts from the original line up are available for the new date, with the exception of Danny Gruff who is unable to attend.

“This means anyone who has already bought tickets for the festival can keep them for the new date when a great line up of acts including Matt Cardle, The Hoosiers, Loveable Rogues, Next of Kin, n-trance and Livin’ Joy will take to the stage.

“Refunds will be offered to any customers who are not able to make it in April and all ticket holders have been sent an email notification outlining the refund procedure.”

At the time of writing ticket sales are still possible to be made online for the event ,still described as being on 20th September, on the promotors website and Wrexposure.com .
