Wrexham Scouts are looking for volunteers with retail experience to help with their Scout Shop.

There is already an existing team of people but the shop is increasingly busy and more help is needed. The shop is at Scout Headquarters opposite the General Station and is open Wednesday nights from 6.30-8.30pm.

The shop sells uniform and merchandise to parents of members with the small profit being ploughed back into local Scouting.

Sue Lister from the Scouts said: “It’s a great atmosphere on Wednesdays. As well as the shop there is a drop in resource centre for leaders and always various meetings going on. There’s a real hustle bustle of people passing through. I’m sure anyone volunteering would enjoy the social part as well as knowing they are helping out.”

Volunteers could come every week for the full two hours, less frequently or for a shorter amount of time – it’s up to them.

Anyone interested should contact Sue Lister be emailing [email protected] or phone 01978 754231.
