Wrexham gets dusting of snow – with more due later today
After catching part of Storm Ciara over the last 48 hours, Wrexham is now getting more bad weather with a dusting of snow.
The Met Office forecast had town down for heavy rain, however with temperatures dropping that has changed to snow.
Wrexham Council had said last night that they were expecting hail & sleet, along with a possible icey morning, and gritter crews were out from around 3am.
The RainToday radar has the current band of snow that hit this lunchtime passing by 2pm, however more is due later around 3pm.
Videos and images of the snow have been tweeted to @wrexham are below…

Just before midday it felt like we were in for some of the white stuff:
Without being too technical there are big fat drops of rain in town – any colder and this would be snow 👀 3C currently but feels lower!

There is no snow on the forecast after 6pm today, however winds are set to increase again with gusts predicted to hit almost 50mph late this evening.
This lot should have gone over us in about an hour. (Grey/Red is snow – blue rain) pic.twitter.com/cOxkYNY2dk
