Wrexham fans will re-launch the popular DragonHeart radio show on Calon 105 FM this afternoon in the primetime 4pm-5pm slot.

The hour-long show is presented by a team of volunteers from the Wrexham Supporters Trust – the fans organisation that owns Wrexham Football Club. It contains a mix of fans-talk about recent and forthcoming games, music and interviews with players, and a series of special features about the club, ground and football in general.

It is a show made “by fans for fans”, and kicks off this week with midfield ace Kevin Thornton coming into the studio. The show occupies the popular Friday afternoon slot between 4pm and 5pm on 105.0 FM. Fans from outside the Wrexham area can listen to the weekly show at any time on the Calon FM website.

Peter Jones, chair of the Supporters Trust welcomed the return of the popular show, saying “This is another exciting development in our journey as a supporters trust. As a community organisation ourselves, we are delighted to partner up with Calon FM, our local community radio station”.

He added “The show grew out of the fantastic buzz around the town and across North Wales following last year’s historic visits by the team to Wembley. We will be reaching out to the 18,000 fans who came with us on those days, and I am sure everyone will find something of interest in the show. There will be a series of features over the coming weeks that link in with our 150th anniversary in 2014.”
