A local driving school has celebrated 25 years of non-stop service to learners across Wrexham.

Nigel Richards Driving School, which established in July 1994, now teaches many children whose parents were taught by Nigel over 20 years ago.

Over the last quarter of a century the school has put thousands of Wrexham people on the roads.

Nigel started the school through a passion for driving, which was nurtured on the tractors of farms in the Eyton area.

Not only are ex-pupils sending their children back to learn as some of them are now instructors in the school having returned to be trained by Nigel.

Jenny Thompson and Nick Roberts both learnt to drive with Nigel and now work within the school as instructors.

The milestone was celebrated with an anniversary breakfast in the Beeches, Gresford, last week, with Nigel stating: “I consider it an honour for ex-pupils to send their children back to the same school they learnt in.

“I am indebted and grateful to the Wrexham community for supporting a local business so well over the years.”
