Wrexham AFC Community Trust is launching a new social activity session for anyone aged 50 and over.

Starting on Wednesday September 20, the weekly sessions will give those attending the opportunity to meet new people, socialise with old friends and join the trust staff for a range of social and physical activities.

The sessions will run every Wednesday morning from 10am-12noon in the Centenary Club and cost £2 per week. There will be quizzes, board games, physical activities, and opportunities to have a brew and a chat.

The Community Trust will bring in guest speakers from time to time to talk about a range of topics and subjects relevant to those attending.

Head of Community, John Widdowson said: “We are really excited to be launching these sessions, we know that reducing social isolation can encourage people to not only feel independent it is also good for people’s mental health.

“We are grateful to the Football Club for their support and the opportunity to host these sessions here at the STōK Cae Ras, using the positive energy of the club to have a positive difference in the community.”
