A woman’s death in Llay is being treated as ‘unexplained’ after emergency services were called to a medical emergency at a property this morning.

North Wales Police and Wales Ambulance Service were called to a property on Ffordd Mabon, Llay early this morning following reports of a medical emergency.

Crime Scene Investigation teams were working on the road early this morning, with several numbered markers laid out on the street.

This afternoon a cordon remained in place across the street.

A statement released by North Wales Police says: “Sadly the female involved who was taken to the Wrexham Maelor Hospital sadly passed away.

“Police are treating the death as unexplained and detectives investigating the circumstances are supporting the family.”
