Witness appeal after two people seriously injured in A483 crash by Ruabon

Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after emergency services attended a serious road traffic collision on the A483 at the Junction 1 Ruabon roundabout.

At approximately 7.20pm this evening North Wales Police received a report of a two-vehicle collision near junction 1 of the A483 involving a red Ford Transit van and a white Peugeot.

The drivers of both vehicles were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Sergeant Jason Diamond said: “We are appealing for any witnesses of the incident and are keen to speak to anybody who may have seen the vehicles on the A483 just prior to the incident – the red Ford transit van was travelling north bound and the white Peugeot was travelling southbound.

“Anybody with information or dash cam footage should please contact police by calling 101 quoting reference number Z033608.”

The A483 is closed from Halton to Ruabon this evening after collision.

Images show a red van and white car have been involved in a serious crash close to a slip road leading to the A483.

Fire, police and the ambulance service are attending the incident.

Police have said, “ROAD CLOSURE – The A483 Northbound is closed at the junction for Ruabon due to an RTC. Diversions are in place but please avoid the area if possible.”
