North Wales Police have launched a witness appeal after a “serious collision” this evening.

A large emergency service response attended the incident, and four people were taken to hospital, one to Royal Stoke University Hospital and three to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

Late tonight police have said they are appealing for witnesses to the incident at the B4530 between Rhydtalog and Gwynfryn.

Police say the incident involved a maroon Vauxhall Cavalier and a silver Vauxhall Agila.

The Roads Policing Team said, “If you were in the area, saw the vehicles or have dashcam, please call 101 quoting ref Y146714”

The B5430 by Bwlchgwyn was closed for several hours this evening after the incident.
