Competition closed! Family tickets up for grabs for this week’s Underneath the Arches

Would you like to be in with the chance to win tickets to Underneath the Arches?

We’re giving away four sets of family ticket worth £30 each for the event on Friday (12th July). The ticket offers admission to two adult and three children to the always popular summer event, and at the time of writing the Met Office currently has Friday evening as sunny intervals and 18C into a clear night fo what should be a superb evening!

Now in its eighth year, the unique event sees thousands of people visit the Bont playing field at the aqueduct to enjoy a picnic in the park style evening.

Set against the backdrop of the World Heritage Site, the towering 126ft pillars will play host to an open air concert before being illuminated in bright colours and culminating in a fantastic fireworks display.

There will also see performances from the likes of Crossroads, Class of ’18, Skariad, Ego Friendly and Destination.

Underneath will take place from 7pm – 11pm on Friday, with details of the event below:

– Food & soft drinks will be available, whilst your own alcohol is permitted on-site, but limited
– There will not be a bar on-site again this year. Alcohol brought onto the event field will be strictly limited to either;
~ 8 x 440ml cans / or 330ml bottles of beer, lager or cider or,
~ 1 x 75cl bottle of wine or,
~ 1 x 50cl or 0.5ltr bottle of spirits
Failure to comply with these limits will result in a member of the security staff confiscating the alcohol before permitting entrance to the event field.
– Parking is free on the evening, but please note that there is a 0.5mile walk (downhill) from the car park and a 0.5mile (uphill) walk at the end of the evening. Shuttle buses will NOT be running this year.
– Organisers also advise caution if you have a disability due to the uneven nature of the field and access may be difficult for some people. If you have any further questions about disabled access – please contact the events team on 01978 292538.
