Tŷ Pawb’s website has finally gone live nearly six weeks after the centre opened, and includes a short preview of up coming events and exhibitions – including ‘What’s Welsh For White Elephant?’.

Local MP Ian Lucas queried the status of the website a month ago, and roughly a week after the planned date the site has finally gone live.

The website has the usual fare, giving the opening hours (Tŷ Pawb galleries 9-5.30pm, main building 7-10pm) along with maps and other information on parking charges, plus a contact form.

The market element of the centre has a dedicated page, with links out to each individual trader. The OW’s own shop is ‘part of the community of traders within the Peoples Market’ but has a dedicated section giving details on how it is part of the ‘engagement programme’ as well as being a venue for trade. The Food Court area has a page, with the details of Just Desserts & Milkshakes, Plât Bach, Curry on the Go and coffee specialists Bl_nk C_nv_s.

The final section revolved around hiring various areas of the centre, with the business plan seeing this as a key revenue generator of around £117,000. There are no prices or specifications listed, but we have been informally told there is a sliding scale depending on the entity booking to ensure charity or community groups are not priced out of using spaces.

The website also links to a public call for a new “Everybody’s Wall” installation, the rotating large graphical pieces that are seen on the side of the main gallery space. There is a £5000 budget for artist to produce six large scale 2D artworks, with further details here.

The title of this article is based off this event listing, entitled which will be “A display of artefacts and documentation relating to our recent Wrexham Souvenir commission and the Dydd Llun Pawb event” and will be on from June 30th through to August 12th. The phrase and variants of it have been used on the Wrexham.com forum over the last twelve months as well.

(Due to an unrelated mini-battle with Nominet, the centre along with anyone else, can now get a matched IDN variant domain name eg. TŷPawb.wales to match TyPawb.wales if they so wish for no extra cost.)
