Warning of limited onsite parking for COVID booster clinics at Catrin Finch Centre
Those attending the Catrin Finch Centre for a covid booster are being warned of a lack of onsite parking.
The autumn booster rollout is underway across north Wales, with people over 65, those in at risk groups and those working or living with vulnerable people eligible for the vaccine.
Clinics at the Catrin Finch Centre, at Wrexham University, are expected to be busy over the coming weeks.
Those attending appointments by car are also being warned of potential parking issues on the university campus.
A spokesperson for Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board said: “We’re asking people travelling by car to remain patient and follow the signs on site.
“Please keep to your scheduled appointment time and do not arrive early, as this could make parking more difficult for others attending the clinic.
“Patients who arrive late for their appointment because of difficulty parking will still receive their vaccine, but may have a short wait until a member of our team becomes available.
“As a result of building work, a large number of parking spaces at the Catrin Finch Centre are currently unavailable.
“Students returning to campus at Wrexham University have significantly increased demand for parking, while further spaces are taken up by preparations being made for the Wales v Gibraltar football match at the Racecourse Ground on Wednesday (October 11).
“We anticipate that pressure on car parking will be greatest on Tuesday and Thursday this week, and on the following two Thursdays (October 19 and October 26).”
