Police have today issued a warning to residents after reports of a man “behaving suspiciously and trying front doors in the Gwersyllt and Llay areas.”

The incidents caught on doorbell footage have taken place in recent days.

Sergeant Nathan Harvey said: “If you notice anything suspicious in your area, please bring it to our attention as soon as possible.

“Always ensure your doors and windows are locked, and never leave valuables on show.

“I’d also advise not to advertise that nobody is in.

“If an offender thinks someone is home, they’re less likely to target that house, including any outbuildings.

“Anyone who is targeted or notices anything suspicious, call us on 101 or get in touch via the live web chat here.”
