One of the most successful to come out of Wrexham will be celebrating its return to the town this weekend.

Wales Comic Con will back at its old home of Wrexham Glyndwr University on Sunday (21 August) for one day only in what has been described as a “very special homecoming.”

The event, which was created and is led by a Wrexham entrepreneur Jaime Milner, had until 2019 regularly been a huge fixture on the Wrexham events calendar.

More recently it has ‘taken over’ Telford, and thankfully is now returning to Wrexham – for a single day event.

It will be bringing guests such as Grace Van Dien and Alec Utgoff (Stranger Things), Brian Blessed, Christopher Barrie and Danny John-Jules (Red Dwarf), Peter Davison (Doctor Who), Jessica Darrow (Encanto) and Jet from Gladiators to the university campus.

Along with the chance to meet some of the biggest names in TV and pop-culture, fans will be able to watch and potentially even take part in a question and answer session with the stars of Flash Gordon, Red Dwarf and Stranger Things.

There will also be the return of the popular cosplay masquerade at 4pm for people to take part in.

Also available on the day will be stalls selling merchandise, memorabilia, comics and much, much more!

Fans of Robocop will have the chance to have their photo taken with the car from the film.

Robotwars will also be back on the campus for people to view.

Wales Comic Con will return to the Wrexham Glyndwr University campus on Sunday August 21.

General entry tickets for the event can still be purchased on the website, here.
