Wales Comic Con celebrating its ‘Homecoming’ to Wrexham this weekend

It will be a welcome home this weekend for one of Wrexham’s largest and most popular events.

Wales Comic Con returns to the city on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 September for its second ‘Homecoming’ event.

Taking place across the two days at the Wrexham University campus attendees can expect to see some of the biggest name in film and television.

Guests already confirmed for the two days include Amanda Abbington, Danny John-Jules, Chris Barrie, Mark Addy, Catrin Steward, Dan Starkey, Steve Speirs, Femi Taylor, Patricia Quinn, Gareth David-Lloyd and Terence Maynard. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Across the weekend attendees will have the chance to take part in question and answer panels – giving fans the chance to ask their favourite actors about their experiences on screen and career highlights. ‌

The event will see the return of Wales Comic Con fan favourites, such as the Cosplay Masquerade where visitors have the chance to showcase their costumes and pay homage to their pop culture idols. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Also on offer is gaming opportunities for both video and tabletop enthusiasts, as well as starter flash classes for budding comic book artists. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

There will also be the chance to grab a selfie with some of the displays from film and TV – as well as traders selling everything from collectibles, memorabilia and custom made items.

Tickets can be purchased online until 8pm tomorrow evening (Thursday 31 August) or from the venue on either Saturday or Sunday.

There are still a handful of VIP passes left for Saturday and Sunday, which includes ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Photo opportunities with some of the stars visiting on the weekend can also be purchased in advance on the Wales Comic Con website.

Tickets are free for children under the age of 11 and £5.99 per child for those aged 12-15.
