Local residents will team up with volunteers from Wrexham AFC and Wrexham Glyndwr University this month to host a community clean-up.

The event will take place on Crispin Lane on Tuesday 27th March between 4pm and 6pm.

Local Wrexham councillor Marc Jones, who represents the Grosvenor ward that include Crispin Lane, said: “The road gets more than its share of rubbish due the amount of passers by and we want to give it a good spring clean.

“I’m grateful to CAIS for supplying the equipment and am looking forward to working with both Wrexham AFC and Glyndwr to clean up our community.

“Both Wrexham AFC and Wrexham Glyndwr University have expressed support and any local residents, supporters or students who want to come and help for an hour or two would be very welcome.”

The litter pickers will meet by the entrance to the football club at 4pm.

Cllr Jones added: “This is the third community clean-up in the ward in the past few months and I’m really grateful to everybody who has turned out so far to help bring back some pride in our streets.”
