Plans to extend a village dental practice by creating two new surgery rooms have been given the go ahead.

In May 2023 an application was lodged with Wrexham Council proposing that a single storey rear extension is built at the rear of Rossett Dental Practice on Station Road.

The applicants, D2 Architects, say that the development will allow for the internal remodelling of the existing dental surgery as well as the modification of an existing residential unit on the the first floor.

Currently the ground floor of the building comprises of a reception, three surgeries, toilet and staff waiting room.

To the rear of the property there is a kitchen, study, lounge and stairs leading to two bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor.

Now the plans have now been given the go ahead by Wrexham Council’s chief planning officer for economy and planning, David Fitzsimon.

Under the approved plans the rear of the building will be used to add two new surgery spaces for the dental practice, along with a staff room.

The first floor will be converted into a one bedroom apartment with an open plan kitchen and living space and one bathroom.
