Wrexham Council have not answered questions over a video apparently showing a pot hole repair in Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog this week.

The below video is attributed to Ceiriog Uchaf Community Council, and has been circulated on social media this afternoon with a comment, “Apparently this is how you smooth down tarmac after a road repair these days in the wonderful world of Wrexham.”

Another comment accompanying the video elsewhere states, “Wrexham Council have finally repaired the pothole at the front of The Hand. The quality of the repair is pretty shocking and so I thought I’d consult the community CCTV cameras as to how one would go about affecting such a terrible job. Here’s the answer.”

The video is dated indicating a repair on Wednesday morning:

Wrexham County Borough Council Road Works from The Hand at Llanarmon on Vimeo.

We asked if using the vehicle in that manner was standard practice, and if the repair is typical of how that type of job is carried out.

We also welcomed any wider comment or context to the video if they fancied giving it.

No response to the questions posed were given, however Wrexham Council did reply saying, “We are aware of the video that was circulated on social media”.
