Vandals Key & Dent Car Then Throw Tomato Sauce & Milkshake Over It

An appeal for information and witnesses has been launched after a car was left vandalised and badly damaged in a local carpark over the weekend.

A beautiful example of a silver VW Golf was been left badly damaged after it was vandalised in Chirk in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The owner had left the vehicle overnight in a lay-by near Chirk McDonalds / Halton Roundabout because it had broken down. The owner told Wrexham.com he had left the car at 9:30pm and when he came back the following day, it had been wrecked.

The rear driver side quarter panel has been kicked in and dented and the front bumper has also been damaged.

‘Ha Ha Ha’ has been keyed into the drivers side of the vehicle and tomato ketchup and chocolate milkshake have also been thrown all over the vehicle.

We have also been told that one of the wheel centre caps has been stolen and there has been an attempt to rip off some of the plastic bumpers. The owner has told Wrexham.com that the wheels had cost him £700 alone.

It is believed the damage may have been caused around 2:30/3am.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: “We received a call at 11:13 reporting that a car had been vandalised. It was parked near Halton Roundabout in Chirk.”
