Three people have been arrested after a late night which saw a van attempt to travel the wrong way down the A483 in a bid to escape police.

The incident took place around 11pm last night, with a number of people contacting Wrexham.com to say there were multiple police vehicles on the slip road at Gresford Roundabout.

One person told us that there was a van facing the wrong way on the Junction 6 slip road.

It has since been confirmed by NWP Roads Policing Unit that the van had failed to stop in Wrexham after seeing police and had tried to travel the wrong way along the A483.

Three people were arrested as a result of the incident. A stolen motorcycle was also recovered following a recent burglary.
