Updated: Hit and run in Wrexham town centre leaves baby with ‘serious injury’
Update: This evening police have issued a further update and appeal on this incident.
North Wales Police Roads Policing Unit have said tonight, “Further to our last update this is a further appeal for the driver of a White small hatchback involved in a fail to stop RTC earlier today in Wrexham Town Centre.”
“We are urging the driver to come forward, We are urging for any witnesses or dashcam to come forward and speak to us in confidence.”
“The latest update is that the baby has suffered a serious injury and we would like to speak to the driver at the earliest opportunity.”
“If you were in the area of BODHYFRYD, ASDA, WREXHAM today 7th October 2020 at approximately 10.40hrs and witnessed anything please call 101 and ask to speak with the Roads Policing Unit quoting Y147907. Thank you.”

Witnesses and dashcam footage are being sought after a pram was “clipped by car” in Wrexham this morning.
The incident took place at around 10:45am on the crossing by Asda supermarket.
Police say a woman walking with a pram was crossing the road when a small white hatchback “clipped the pram”.
The vehicle failed to stop.
Both the mother and baby have gone to hospital for checks.
